On February 18th, 2016, TKS received an order for one set of COLOR TOP 7100CD from The San-in Chuo Shimpo Newspaper Co., Ltd. for their San-in Chuo Shimpo Production Center.
The San-in Chuo Shimpo Newspaper Co., Ltd. previously undertook a study to strengthening their production facilities ability in the Spring of 2014, and backup capability of the existing San-in Chuo Shimpo Production Center by adding a set of TKS COLOR TOP 7100CD. The new press is being added to the other two TKS sets of COLOR TOP 6000 for a total of three presses.
In addition to the installation of TKS COLOR TOP 7100CD, will be the updating of one of the two TKS COLOR TOP 6000 presently running at the San-in Chuo Shimpo Production Center as a part of a project celebrating the135th anniversary in 2017.
The San-in Chuo Shimpo Newspaper Co., Ltd. opened a hall for visitors within the San-in Chuo Shimpo Production Center in November, 2015. In the visitors hall, the community-based newspaper company has exhibitions, videos, and workshops to show the newspapers’ role in today’s society. The visitors can also see the TKS COLOR TOP 7100CD in full running mode producing newspapers at 90,000 copies per hour in the factory tour showcasing the facilities and procedures of newspaper making.
The COLOR TOP 7100CD to be installed is a proven 4x2 web offset press running at many customers all over the world. The press is capable of producing premium quality products with reliable highly precise registration and superior print quality features from low speed to its maximum speed of 90,000 copies per hour.
The configuration of the press is a set of one COLOR TOP tower (4/4), two COLOR TOP tower (4/1), one folder and three reelstands, capable of printing 24 pages with 16 pages in color.
Furthermore, TKS received orders for peripheral equipments such as the TKS Newspaper Production Control System T-NPC, the full automatic web leading system FWL-200, automatic registration control device TRC-5000, paper surface monitoring device INS-500, spray dampening system TSD-2000SV, and TKS cutoff control system T-CUTTER.
The full operation of the machine is scheduled for May 1st, 2017 which will be the 135th anniversary of the San-in Chuo Shimpo Newspaper Co., Ltd..
